Monthly/year-end close procedures, financial statements
- Facilitate and complete monthly/year-end close procedures and prepare financial statements and supporting schedules
Account reconciliations
- Prepare monthly account reconciliations with the team, clean up outstanding items with relevant parties, and prepare supporting document as necessary
Financial compliance and internal control
- Enhance financial compliance and internal control of each accounting procedures and daily operations
- Inventory management
Accounts payable
- Monitor accounting items are properly used in accordance with the global and local policy/rules.
- Expense reporting to relevant parties
- Maintain expense policy, propose amendments as necessary and prepare announcement to the office Provide Practice Group leaders/Business Support Center managers with monthly expense report
- Cash management
- Prepare treasury report of bank and loan balance for the global treasury team
Tax/Statutory reporting
- Assist corporate/individual income tax, consumption tax and withholding tax filing
Client Credit
- Supervising Client credit task
Financial Planning & Analysis
- Do various financial analysis and prepare periodical/adhoc managerial reports as well as budget plan preparation
Liaison with Global/Region/Tokyo office/other offices
- Liaise for monthly/year end closing/internal systems with relevant parties, and make expected arrangements (negotiations, office announcement, etc.) to achieve goals/solve problems
Optimization of the team with Shared Service Center(SSC)
- Take a lead in migrating accounting process to SSC in order to promote the efficiency and optimization between the Tokyo office and SSC


- 10+ years accounting experience and minimum 2 years of management experience at multinational companies
- Positive and proactive attitude to plan and carry out responsibilities with minimal direction
- Hands-on manager, flexible and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
- Maintain strictest confidentiality
- Ability to work cohesively on any projects with all levels of employees and management
- Excellent communication skills in Japanese and English (fluent)
- Strong computer skills; Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- SAP experience preferred
