Responsibilities

– Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual closing (Japanese GAAP and IFRS)
– Prepare financial reports for headquarters and support group consolidation
– Manage cash flow and treasury operations
– Liaise with auditors and tax advisors (statutory audits, tax filings, etc.)
– Maintain and improve internal controls and compliance processes
– Manage a small accounting team (approx. 2–5 members)
– Provide financial analysis and reporting to management
– Handle various accounting and finance-related tasks as needed

Qualifications

– 5+ years of practical accounting experience
– Native Japanese proficiency
– Ability to read and write in English (speaking is not a must)
– Experience using SAP
