Responsibilities

– Raising sales invoices and sending them to customers and distributors.
– Raising statements of account for customers, plus following up on collections.
– Generating aged debtors listing and adding status comments.
– Obtaining credit worthiness reports for review by senior colleagues.
– Posting of bank receipts.
– Raising credit notes following approval.
– Posting to ledger of accounting journals inc. external accountant journals.
– Calculate prepayments, or accruals.
– Assistance with calculating the cost of sales and running sales reports.
– Reconciling intercompany accounts.
– Assistance on the upkeep of the fixed asset register.
– Entering Commercial Invoices received from main two suppliers.
– Identifying Accounts Payable invoices to be included on payment runs.
– Assisting with calculating and raising recharge invoices to affiliate offices.
– Occasional assistance with stock counting and assisting with monthly stock valuation.
– Responding to accounts related customer queries.
– Calculation and review of provisions.
– Involvement with year-end audits, preparation and answering queries.
– Completion of tasks assigned by Bookkeeper, e.g. customer activity reports.
– Finance administration tasks such as filing and ordering office supplies.

Qualifications

– 3+ years of relevant Accounting role experience
– Bilingual in both Japanese and English.
– Proficient in use of MS office packages, with advanced knowledge of Excel expected.
– Experience of using SAP system is a huge plus
