Responsibilities

– Keep accurate records of inventory and product costs.
– Check inventory regularly and look into any differences between physical stock, store system data, and accounting records.
– Work with store teams and other departments to solve inventory issues.
– Make sure product cost calculations are correct.
– Understand the accounting items related to inventory and product costs.
– Help with monthly, mid‑year, and year‑end closing tasks.
– Prepare reports and check account balances during the closing process.
– Help with reports, data checks, and finance-related projects.
– Provide information for system improvement projects.
– Look for ways to improve how inventory and cost information is handled.
– Join finance projects and improvement activities.
– Assist with internal and external audits when needed.

Qualifications

– 5+ years of experience in accounting, inventory/COGS management, or finance (retail or fashion preferred).
– Nissho Boki Level 2 or equivalent accounting knowledge.
– Experience in corporate finance, accounting, or banking.
– Hands-on experience and strong knowledge of JGAAP.
– Experience using SAP or similar ERP systems.
– Japanese fluency required; English ability is a plus.
– Proficient in Word, Excel (Pivot Table, VLOOKUP), and PowerPoint.
– Able to work independently, prioritize tasks, and support the Finance Manager.
– Willingness to perform manual checks and temporary adjustments while ERP improvements are in progress.

Welcome Skills and Experience:
– Knowledge and understanding of IFRS or US GAAP
– US CPA or similar qualification.
– Experience working with foreign or imported retail brands.
– Experience managing temporary staff or outsourced teams.
