Responsibilities

– Manage and plan monthly, quarterly, and yearly financial reports for internal teams and external auditors.
– Oversee balance sheet and cash flow to maintain healthy financial status.
– Handle hedging and standard rates to reduce financial risks and control COGS impact.
– Manage import-related costs and ensure proper allocation to COGS.
– Monitor customer credit limits to minimize financial risk.
– Maintain relationships with banks and insurance brokers while managing related costs.
– Provide financial analysis on inventory, balance sheet items, and cash flow, focusing on working capital to support strategic decisions.
– Create useful reports to identify financial risks and opportunities.
– Develop and execute action plans based on identified risks and opportunities.
– Ensure compliance with local accounting standards (J-GAAP, IFRS) and internal policies, including SOX.
– Supervise and mentor finance team members to improve skills and efficiency.
– Support internal/external audits, tax filings, and regulatory reporting.
– Lead process improvements in financial operations and systems.

Qualifications

– Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field (MBA or CPA is a plus).
– Knowledge equivalent to Nissho Boki Level 2.
– At least 5 years of relevant work experience.
– Strong understanding of financial principles, budgeting, reporting, and analysis.
– Experience using ERP systems and data visualization tools.
– Worked in a multinational company or a globally operating startup.
– Proven ability to build teams and automate processes.
– Excellent communication skills in both Japanese and English.
– High attention to detail and strong leadership skills.
– Able to work effectively across teams in a fast‑paced environment.
