Responsibilities

– Manage three direct reports and handle all areas of business partnering for Japan entity
– Business Partnering – Work closely with regional leaders in sales, projects, and service to ensure accurate financial planning and forecasting. Take full ownership of the P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow, while challenging assumptions to support profitable growth
– Financial Planning & Strategy – Lead financial operations for the region, including budgeting, forecasting, monthly reviews, and long-term planning
– Decision Support through Analytics – Create and share financial reports that highlight key trends to guide decisions on growth, investment, sourcing, and cost-saving
– Process Improvement & Compliance – Review and improve finance and compliance processes in the region, identifying gaps and recommending solutions
– Special Projects – Handle various ad-hoc projects as needed by management

Qualifications

– Language Skills: Native-level Japanese and advanced English are required
– Education: A bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance is essential; an MBA is a plus
– Experience: 18–20 years of relevant experience in multinational companies, with growing responsibilities
– Strong experience with B to B companies a plus, but not mandatory
