Responsibilities

– Prepare annual budgets and conduct monthly/quarterly forecast vs. actual analysis for management reporting.
– Track budget performance by department and recommend cost‑optimization actions.
– Monitor key KPIs related to profitability and productivity to identify business issues.
– Support management decisions through break‑even analysis, scenario analysis, and other financial modeling.
– Drive initiatives to optimize fixed and variable costs.
– Perform cost accounting and manage project‑level profitability.
– Reconcile monthly store sales and conduct quarterly inventory valuation.
– Review and approve invoices and expense claims, ensuring proper account classification.
– Prepare cash flow statements and forecasts.
– Strengthen internal controls across financial processes, including SOX compliance.
– Improve the accuracy and reliability of financial reporting in line with accounting standards.
– Contribute to the development of mid‑term business plans.

Qualifications

– University degree.
– 3+ years of experience in accounting, financial management, management accounting, or a related field.
– Strong knowledge of budget management and forecast analysis.
– Knowledge equivalent to Japanese Bookkeeping Level 2 or higher.
– Proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, etc.) and ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, etc.).
