Responsibilities

Report: Global Head of HR

This position will lead all Japan HR matters and also support HR initiatives across the region.
– HR Generalist (Japan): Oversee HR functions, including talent acquisition, employee relations, performance management, compensation, and compliance with local labor laws. Act as the primary HR contact, aligning policies with business goals and managing labor relations.
– APAC HR Coordination: Support HR operations across APAC, ensuring compliance and consistency. Liaise with Global HR to drive alignment and engage external HR vendors for country-specific needs.
– Vendor Management: Identify, manage, and evaluate HR service providers across Japan and APAC, negotiating contracts and ensuring high-quality service.
– Post-Merger Integration: Lead or support HR transitions for mergers, acquisitions, and divestments, aligning practices with structural changes and driving change management efforts.
– Strategic HR Initiatives: Develop and implement HR strategies, enhance employee engagement, ensure compliance with global HR policies while addressing local legal requirements.

Qualifications

– Bachelor’s degree or higher
– Business level English
– 6-8+ years progressive HR experience
– Strong communication skills
– Experience / understanding with change management (such as PMI or org changes)
– Good stakeholder management and influencing skills
– Problem-solving / results-driven mindset
