Responsibilities

This role leads the full HR function in Japan, driving people strategy, organizational development, and a high-performance culture. You will partner closely with local leadership to strengthen talent, optimize HR operations, and enable sustainable business growth.

Key Responsibilities
– Lead overall HR strategy and operations to support business expansion in Japan.
– Oversee recruitment, workforce planning, and smooth onboarding/offboarding.
– Manage compensation, benefits, payroll, and ensure full labor-law compliance.
– Strengthen performance evaluation, career development, and succession planning.
– Design and run training programs to build skills and leadership capabilities.
– Drive culture, engagement, and employee experience initiatives.
– Partner with management as a strategic HRBP to align people strategy with business needs.
– Oversee labor-cost budgeting and forecasting, and lead HR system implementation and digitalization efforts.

Qualifications

– Bachelor’s degree or higher
– Broad experience in HR across wide areas (10+ years preferred)
– Strong problem-solving and improvement mindset with the ability to drive change.
– Effective communicator who can influence leaders and work cross-functionally.
– Experience with HR systems or digital HR tools; comfortable using data for decision-making.
– Fluent Japanese and English, with a proactive, resilient, and collaborative working style.
