Responsibilities

Seeking a strategic and hands‑on Head of HR & GA to lead the people and culture agenda in Japan. As a trusted partner to the Country Manager and APAC HR, you’ll drive talent development, HR strategy, and operational excellence to scale a high‑growth company in Japan.

What You’ll Do
– Build and lead talent development programs to future‑proof the workforce
– Own leadership succession planning across commercial functions
– Deliver impactful L&D initiatives—from manager training to mentoring
– Partner with leaders to align talent strategy with business growth
– Act as a key advisor on workforce planning and organizational design
– Localize global HR strategies to the Japanese market
– Lead end‑to‑end recruitment and employer branding efforts
– Drive employee engagement through data and targeted actions
– Oversee performance management and competitive rewards programs
– Manage GA operations—office, vendors, governance, and cost control
– Ensure HR compliance and smooth operations (payroll, HRIS, contracts)

Qualifications

– Bachelor’s degree or higher
– Business level English
– 10+ years relevant HR experience, including in leadership roles
– Strong communication skills
– Expertise in talent development, L&D, and succession planning
– Ability to balance strategic leadership with hands-on execution
– Good PC skills
– Strong labor law knowledge
