Responsibilities

Reports to: Japan HR Director
Team Structure: 5 Member Team

This is a senior HR role responsible for acting as a strategic HR partner to the business while leading key HR processes and initiatives in Japan. In the position you will:

– Partner with senior leaders and people managers to drive high performance across the full employee lifecycle (hire, develop, reward, and retain)
– Lead and support compensation and benefits processes, including annual salary review planning, market benchmarking, and manager guidance
– Advise on employee relations matters, ensuring compliance with local labor laws and alignment with global policies
– Support workforce planning, budgeting, and HR analytics to identify trends, risks, and improvement opportunities
– Ensure effective use and data quality of HR systems and tools while collaborating closely with local and global HR teams

Qualifications

– Solid experience in HR operations or HR business partnering within a corporate or matrix environment
– Experience working closely with managers and senior stakeholders
– Basic experience supporting or guiding others in a team setting
– Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
– Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
– Business-level English and fluent Japanese required; experience with HR systems is a plus
