Responsibilities

This role will function as a strategic leader for the HR function in Japan as a business partner and member of the senior management team and also as a hands-on manager for operations in Japan.

– Lead the growth strategy for the company effectively and building of a solid HR foundation to support growth
– Partner with business unit leaders and senior management locally and globally to provide consulting and advice as a business partner
– Implement and improve HR policies, operations, and processes to create operational excellence
– Build company culture based on company values and lead engagement
– Introduce global projects into Japan
– Build and lead talent management and development programs
– Ensure compliance with local labor regulations
– Manage recruitment strategy for growing the business and hiring top talent in the market
– Manage compensation and benefits
– Other duties as required

Qualifications

– Bachelor’s degree or higher
– Business level English
– 12+ years relevant HR experience including experience in manager and/or HR BP senior positions
– Strong communication skills
– Strong understanding of Japan labor law and regulations
– Good stakeholder management skills
– Ability to be hands-on as a playing manager
