Responsibilities

– Support the Managing Director in developing and implementing the HR strategy and core HR processes
– Lead local HR operations and ensure successful execution of the HR plan
– Understand business goals and divisional needs to provide proactive HR support
– Oversee various HR projects
– Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders
– Drive innovative recruitment and succession planning initiatives for the Japan office
– Use workforce insights and trends to support resource planning
– Ensure effective HR communication and promote employee engagement
– Manage HR departmental budgets and ensure cost discipline
– Represent HR in branch and country meetings
– Ensure full compliance with Japanese labour laws and head office policies

Qualifications

– Senior-level HR experience with strong knowledge of Japanese labour law
– Proven ability to design and deliver people strategies
– Strong communication and relationship building skills across all levels
– Ability to think strategically while managing day-to-day HR operations
– Experience in budget management and interpreting financial information
– Proficiency with HR systems and digital HR tools
– Native Japanese and Business English
– Bachelor’s Degree or higher
