Responsibilities
This role is responsible for delivering comprehensive HR support across recruitment, talent development, employee engagement, and employee relations. The position partners closely with managers to drive HR initiatives that align with business objectives while ensuring compliance and continuous improvement.
– Lead end-to-end recruitment processes for all roles, ensuring timely approvals, cost-effective agency usage, and well-defined job profiles and adverts.
– Partner with hiring managers to develop effective assessment methods, manage interviews, offers, and onboarding, while maintaining strong agency relationships.
– Continuously improve recruitment practices through feedback and performance metrics.
– Support performance management by guiding managers, providing training, and advising on performance issues to maintain high standards.
– Coordinate and deliver learning and development initiatives, including training rollouts and line management programs, while maintaining accurate training records.
– Drive employee engagement activities, including survey management, focus groups, and action planning to enhance workplace culture.
– Provide expert guidance on employee relations, supporting grievance and disciplinary investigations to ensure fair and consistent outcomes.
– Maintain accurate and compliant HR records and systems, including SOX and Data Protection Act requirements.
– Support HR reporting, administration, and collaborate with Total Rewards on job evaluations, grading, and compensation structures.
Qualifications
– Bachelor’s degree or higher
– Business level English
– 5-10+ years relevant HR experience
– HR BP related experience preferred
– Strong communication skills
– Good PC skills
– Strong labor law knowledge
– Manufacturing industry experience highly preferred
– Ability to frequently travel between locations in Japan highly preferred
