Responsibilities

Reports to: People & Culture Manager
Team Structure: 9 members

In this role, you will support the retail organization across hiring, development, performance, and engagement to ensure smooth store operations and strong business results. You will work closely with retail leaders to build a motivated, high-performing workforce and contribute to creating a positive, growth-oriented employee experience. This includes:

– Drive timely retail hiring, manage agencies, and support workforce planning.
– Coordinate training, onboarding, and career development initiatives.
– Support performance evaluations, goal-setting, and improvement of HR systems.
– Handle employee relations, contracts, labor matters, and workplace compliance.
– Assist with engagement, benefits, retention programs, and turnover insights.
– Partner with retail and cross-functional teams on staffing, store support, and organizational improvements.

Qualifications

– 5+ years of HR experience in any area.
– Experience hiring retail or frontline staff.
– Able to use Excel and PowerPoint at an intermediate level.
– Strong communication, accuracy, and time-management skills.
– Interest in outdoor lifestyle, community impact, or sustainability.
– Fluent Japanese/Do not need English for this role (only reading-writing)
