Mission & Responsibilities

The HR Generalist is a key all-round HR professional who supports daily HR operations in a retail environment. This role helps employees and managers with HR matters, ensures smooth and compliant HR processes, and supports payroll, attendance, and HR administration. With recruitment partly outsourced, the HR Generalist can focus on employee relations, HR support for stores, and maintaining an engaged, high-performing retail workforce.

Key Responsibilities:

– Employee Support: Answer HR questions from employees and managers, and help solve workplace issues.
– HR Administration: Manage employee records, contracts, HR data, and support payroll and attendance tasks.
– Performance Support: Assist with evaluations, development plans, and training coordination.
– Recruitment Coordination: Work with external partners for hiring and help with onboarding when needed.
– HR Projects: Join HR improvement activities and support employee engagement programs

Qualifications

– 3–5 years of broad HR experience
– Solid teamwork, collaboration, and high attention to detail/confidentiality
– MS Office proficiency; HRIS experience a plus
– Retail industry background preferred (luxury/global/jewelry)
– Fluent Japanese and conversational English; Associate/Bachelor’s degree
