Responsibilities

– Strategic HR & GA Leadership: Lead HR and general affairs strategy aligned with corporate goals and Japan-specific business needs.
– HR Business Partnering: Advise business leaders on organizational design, workforce planning, and talent strategies to support growth and performance.
– HR Operations Management: Oversee core HR processes including payroll, benefits, employee data, and HR systems to ensure accuracy and compliance.
– People Management: Lead and develop the local HR and GA team, fostering high performance, collaboration, and professional growth.
– Compliance & Governance: Ensure adherence to Japanese labor laws, workplace safety, and internal governance standards.
– Talent & Performance Management: Drive recruitment, employee development, performance reviews, and succession planning.
– Employee Engagement & Relations: Cultivate a positive, inclusive work culture through proactive engagement and resolution strategies.
– General Affairs Oversight: Manage office operations, facilities, vendor contracts, and safety protocols to support smooth business functioning.

Qualifications

– Bachelor’s degree or relevant experience
– Business English
– 10-15+ years of relevant HR and GA experience
– People management experience / experience in manager level roles
– Strong labor law knowledge
– Strong communication skills
– Proactive and ability to influence others

Qualifications

– Manufacturing industry experience highly preferred!
– Experience driving change management a plus!
