Responsibilities

HR Manager – Ibaraki Plant

– Serve as the senior HR leader at the Ibaraki Plant (~700+ employees), aligning HR strategies with site and global business goals.
– Lead workforce planning, organizational design, and manpower strategies to support plant expansion and new production lines.
– Drive recruitment and retention initiatives, including partnerships with schools, local governments, and training institutions.
– Ensure labor law compliance and a positive labor environment; collaborate with unions and EHS teams on safety and compliance.
– Foster employee engagement and a strong workplace culture through communication, culture-building, and advisory support.
– Oversee performance management, employee development, and skill-building programs, especially for production staff.
– Manage HR operations, including budgeting, reporting, audits, and tracking key workforce KPIs.
– Act as a strategic partner to plant leadership, supporting the site’s role in mass production and global growth initiatives.

Qualifications

– Bachelor’s degree or higher
– Business level English
– 10+ years of relevant HR experience
– Experience in management / leadership roles
– Strong communication skills
– Good PC skills
– Strong labor law knowledge
– Flexible and open minded
– Customer-oriented mindset
