Responsibilities
-Report to SCM Senior Manager
-Manage 4 staff
-Lead Japan’s monthly demand planning process, focusing on high forecast accuracy, acceptable forecast bias, and clear assumption transparency.
-Collaborate with Sales and Marketing to gather market intelligence, promotional plans, and customer insights to refine forecasts.
-Facilitate Monthly Demand Reviews, ensuring alignment and agreement on key assumptions across stakeholders.
-Identify risks and opportunities in demand plans; propose mitigation or enhancement actions as needed.
-Analyze historical sales data to detect variances and improve forecasting models.
-Drive continuous improvement initiatives in demand planning and support the broader S&OP process in Japan.
-Oversee the end-to-end Order-to-Cash process, ensuring timely and accurate order entry, confirmation, and delivery.
-Lead the Customer Service team to deliver high levels of satisfaction through proactive and solution-driven service.
-Serve as the escalation point for major customer service issues; collaborate with Supply Planning, Sales, and Logistics for resolution.
-Build strong relationships with key customers and internal teams to proactively manage expectations and service performance.
Qualifications
-10+ years of experience in Demand Planning, Customer Service, or related Supply Chain functions
-Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
-Proven leadership experience, including team management and cross-functional collaboration.
-Deep understanding of demand planning principles, statistical forecasting techniques, and S&OP processes.
-Strong customer-centric approach with experience managing complex order fulfillment operations.
-Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills in both Japanese and English.
-Proficient in ERP systems (preferably SAP or S4/Hana) and demand planning tools.
