Responsibilities

-Manage demand planning activities.
-Validate feasibility and ensure forecasts are regularly updated at the finished product level.
-Ensure forecast reliability in terms of quantity and monthly alignment by:
-Assessing demand changes
-Estimating risks
-Proposing necessary adjustments
-Propose and monitor product allocations between profit centers, customers, or subsidiaries in collaboration with sales and marketing.
-Lead the S&OP (Sales and Operations Planning) process and present analysis and recommendations for assigned product categories.
-Support product rationalization and validate commercial product lifecycle decisions (introductions and discontinuations).
-Create work orders based on forecasts and planning priorities.
-Proactively manage excess stock and propose alternative solutions for shortages.
-Analyze test results
-Apply appropriate processes
-Improve work order planning
-Maintain and update flow descriptions (e.g., Quality Plan) for assigned product categories in coordination with other departments.
-Assess and communicate the impact of supply and quality issues.

Qualifications

-3+ years of experience in: Demand/materials/supply/capacity planning
-Proven ability to identify problems, collect data, develop solutions, and implement controls.
-Skilled in facilitating meetings in both Japanese and English.
-Proficient in Business English and Business Japanese.
-Strong documentation skills for procedures and instructions (Japanese/English).
-Data mining
-Pivot table analysis
-Issue detection
-Strong presentation skills for summarizing and communicating data insights.
-Experience with S&OP and mid-term planning processes.
-Knowledge of the seed sector, including:
-Production, sales, and processing cycles
-Phytosanitary practices
-Relevant regulations
-Experience with JD Edwards or similar ERP systems.
