Responsibilities

-Report to Project SCM Manager
-Standalone in team
-Lead improvements to logistics processes, tools, and systems
-Maintain accurate logistics master data with minimal supervision
-Drive initiatives to reduce costs, increase efficiency, and lower carbon footprint
-Create transportation schedules aligned with project milestones and customer needs
-Use TMS and route optimization tools to select efficient transport modes and routes
-Coordinate with warehouses and stakeholders to ensure timely deliveries
-Oversee performance of 3PLs, freight forwarders, and transport vendors
-Negotiate contracts and managed fleet utilization and driver schedules
-Promote low-carbon logistics and implemented KPI-driven performance tracking
-Monitor shipments across air, sea, truck, and rail transport modes
-Provide real-time logistics updates to internal teams and external partners
-Adapt transport plans to address delays and mitigate risks
-Ensure trade compliance in collaboration with freight forwarders and customs brokers
-Prepare customs documents, licenses, and permits for import/export activities
-Apply FTAs and optimized Incoterms to reduce duties and lead times
-Execute cost-saving strategies aligned with project budgets
-Track CO₂ emissions and proposed green logistics initiatives
-Report logistics KPIs on cost, delivery performance, and sustainability
-Ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations

Qualifications

-Degree in Logistics, International Trade, Business, or equivalent experience
-5+ years experience handling logistics / transportation
-3+ years experience in supply chain or logistics operations
-Proven ability to negotiate and coordinate with logistics partners and customs authorities
-Strong grasp of project logistics and cost management
-Proficient in TMS, WMS, and ERP systems (e.g., SAP)
-Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, formulas); experienced in PowerPoint and reporting
-Familiar with green logistics and sustainability initiatives
-Fluent in Japanese for business negotiations, documentation, and communication
-Proficient in English for written correspondence and reporting (TOEIC 650+ or equivalent)
