Responsibilities

-Monitor routes, lead times, and freight; request HQ/overseas facilities to select the most efficient option.
-Coordinate with local customs brokers to manage import documentation and schedule the earliest customs clearance.
-Take prompt actions to prevent shipping delays and shortages.
-Manage EPA/TPP-related tasks.
-Place orders in SAP for both local production and imported products in coordination with the manager.
-Coordinate with overseas counterparts for reliable and timely container scheduling.
-Monitor loading quantity, open quantity, and delivery schedules closely.
-Track all imports at the SKU level to support managers in aligning with demand and local production schedules.
-Update stock data and related files on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.
-Reconcile external warehouse stock data with SAP records.
-Handle write-offs and return orders.

Qualifications

-5+ years’ experience in logistics or relevant experience
-Bachelor’s Degree
-Fluent in Japanese with sufficient business-level English
-Experience in importing food products, preferably within a manufacturing company
-Solid hands-on experience with SAP
-Strong organizational, time management, and multi-tasking abilities
-Excellent verbal and written communication skills
-Team-oriented with a collaborative spirit
-Committed to continuous improvement
-Focused on quality and customer satisfaction
-Analytical mindset with a strong drive for accuracy and results
-Proficient in IT tools, especially SAP and Excel
