Responsibilities
Reporting to Logistics Manager
Team size: 4+
– Oversea import operations for products and ensure smooth clearance into Japan
– Coordinate cross‑functionally and globally with logistics, regulatory, quality, commercial teams, and overseas manufacturing sites to maintain seamless supply continuity and resolve issues proactively.
– Responsible for ensuring shipping procedures are run cost-effectively
– Lead continuous improvement initiatives to streamline import workflows, reduce lead times, and enhance visibility across the supply chain.
– Leverage data and KPIs to track import performance, identify bottlenecks, and support reporting to regional or global stakeholders.
Qualifications
– 5+ years of hands‑on experience in import/export operations, ideally within the consumer goods or related fast‑moving industries, with a strong understanding of international logistics and trade compliance.
– Native‑level Japanese proficiency with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively across internal and external stakeholders.
– Business‑level English capability, including comfort in email communication, meetings, and coordination with overseas teams.
– Strong communication skills and a proactive working style, with the ability to anticipate issues, drive solutions, and collaborate cross‑functionally.
– Practical experience using ERP systems (preferably SAP or Oracle), with a solid understanding of order management and logistics workflows.
– Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word, including the ability to manage data, create reports, and support operational documentation.
