Responsibilities

Reports to: Global Procurement Director

– Lead, engage, and develop the site procurement team
– Ensure site procurement is engaged and aligned with internal customers/stakeholders, gaining stakeholder and leadership support.
– Develop and execute succession planning and talent development for critical positions.
– Ensure suppliers adhere to the Terms & Conditions specified on purchase orders and resolve challenges. Implement and locally deploy Procurement guidelines on site.
– Proactively address supplier shortages, negotiate supply agreements, and ensure suppliers fulfill purchase order terms.
– Maintain communication with the global procurement team and report and align with local stakeholders to ensure smooth procurement activities
– Comply with all company Security, EHS (Environmental, Health, and Safety), and Global Trade Policies

Qualifications

– 3 years working in the pharmaceutical industry (preferred)
– Leadership abilities
– High energy
– Strong time management and planning skills
– High communication skills
– Proficient English abilities
– Native Japanese
– Proven track record in Procurement
