Responsibilities

-Report to Project SCM Manager
-Standalone in team
-Conduct qualification, evaluation, and registration of new suppliers.
-Monitor performance of existing suppliers and drive continuous improvement.
-Negotiate pricing and commercial terms for direct materials.
-Support the review and conclusion of procurement contracts and agreements.
-Issue Requests for Quotation and obtain competitive bids.
-Analyze quotations based on cost, delivery, and technical compliance.
-Coordinate with internal stakeholders to finalize supplier selection and issue Purchase Orders.
-Support procurement activities for both tender and execution phase projects.
-Assist in managing lead times, delivery milestones, and project cost control.
-Coordinate and confirm delivery schedules with suppliers.
-Follow up on production status and ensure on-time shipment.
-Collaborate with SCM, Engineering, Quality, and Project Management teams.
-Respond to procurement-related requests from internal departments.
-Arrange transportation, customs clearance, and delivery schedules.
-Handle irregular logistics issues in cooperation with suppliers and logistics partners.
-Ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.

Qualifications

-Strong knowledge of supply chain management, including commercial terms and procurement contracts
-5+ years experience handling procurement and direct materials
-Experienced in processes, quotation analysis, and purchase order issuance
-Proven ability to negotiate effectively with suppliers to secure optimal terms
-Basic familiarity with electrical substation products preferred, especially in direct materials procurement
-Solid understanding of Japanese business customs and communication protocols
-Capable of business-level communication in both Japanese and English (TOEIC score of 650+ preferred)
