Responsibilities

-Prepares quotation requests with technical specifications, delivery deadlines, and pricing targets for new or existing suppliers
-Negotiates pricing and selects suppliers to ensure optimal balance of cost, quality, and delivery performance
-Maintains accurate sourcing and procurement documentation
-Uses procurement systems to manage data and support cross-functional collaboration
-Creates, updates, and manages purchase orders in alignment with business needs
-Identifies opportunities for cost reduction and supports related tracking and reporting
-Provides support to plant operations, including quality, logistics, and engineering change activities
-Participates in supplier improvement initiatives and continuous improvement efforts
-Ensures compliance with safety, quality, company policies, and applicable regulations
-Performs additional tasks and supports other departments as required

Qualifications

-University degree in Purchasing, Supply Chain, Logistics, or a related commercial field
-4+ years of relevant professional experience in a commercial or procurement role
-Business-level Japanese
-Business-level English
-Experience in the automotive industry is an advantage
-Solid skills in MS Office and ERP systems (e.g., SAP)
-Ability to contribute in an individual role and teamwork environment
-Career driven
-Flexible for business trips
