Responsibilities

-Purchase products and services that meet the organization’s expected quantity and quality standards
-Evaluate and negotiate contracts with vendors
-Monitor inventory levels and replenish items as necessary
-Stay up to date on industry trends and new products
-Compare available products with industry trends and determine appropriate pricing
-Spend time researching and identifying suppliers that can produce high-quality products within budget
-Collect and prepare documents such as quotations, proposals, and purchasing terms from suppliers, and obtain supervisor approval
-After a supplier is selected, carefully analyze and monitor the supplier, and record their performance

Qualifications

-2+ years of procurement or relevant experience
-Bachelor’s degree
-Business-level Japanese
-Business-level English
-Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently, including planning, delegating, and monitoring progress toward objectives
-General knowledge of pricing for related products and services
-Effective negotiation skills
-Solid problem-solving abilities, including addressing quality-related issues with products or services
