Responsibilities

-Identify, evaluate, and develop suppliers to ensure stable supply, good quality, reliable delivery, and competitive costs.
-Develop sourcing plans and select the right suppliers based on business needs, market conditions, quality, and cost.
-Work with Engineering, Projects, and Operations teams to identify cost-saving and value improvement opportunities.
-Monitor supplier performance and lead regular reviews, improvement plans, and corrective actions when needed.
-Work with regional and global procurement teams to implement sourcing and category strategies in Japan.
-Support new projects, bids, and proposals by providing supplier options, market information, and sourcing solutions.
-Build strong relationships

Qualifications

-15+ years of professional experience, including 8+ years in procurement, strategic sourcing, or category management.
-Bachelor’s Degree.
-Business-level Japanese.
-Business-level English.
-Chinese capability is a plus!
-Experience in building technology, construction, HVAC, fire, security, or related industries is preferred.
-Experience with project-based procurement and sourcing across multiple APAC countries is a plus.
-Strong skills in negotiation, supplier management, contract management, and stakeholder communication.
-Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
-Comfortable working in a global, multicultural, and matrix organization, with a results-focused and continuous improvement mindset.
