Responsibilities

– CMO Selection and Contract Management: Overseeing the selection of contract manufacturing organizations (CMOs) and managing manufacturing and purchasing contracts.
– Inventory and Procurement Operations: Handling inventory management, purchase orders, and delivery date management for active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs), bulk materials, and other necessary materials.
– Supplier Coordination and Cost Management: Manage purchasing orders from domestic and international API suppliers, including cost and delivery date information, and lead cost reduction activities.
– Sourcing and Procurement: Procuring domestic and international products, including development samples, standard products, and reference products, and coordinating with planning and global purchasing departments.
– Performance Evaluation and Project Participation: Measuring and evaluating the performance of manufacturing contractors and suppliers, participating in various projects, and leading SAP S4/HANA implementation and cost reduction initiatives.
– Information System Management: Managing product and purchase information master data, purchase order approval processes, and using information system infrastructure for efficient operations.

Qualifications

– Industry: Pharmaceutical manufacturing.
– Experience: Minimum of 3 years.
– Skills/Experience:
– SCM or purchasing department experience in a pharmaceutical company.
– Collaboration with global organizations.
– Management of CMOs and external partners.
– Proficiency in SAP and other ERP systems.
– Fluency in English and Japanese.
