Responsibilities

-Develop and implement operations strategies aligned with company goals and objectives.
-Streamline operations and business processes to significantly enhance efficiency, productivity, and quality.
-Manage and lead operations teams, including hiring, training, performance evaluation, and fostering a positive work environment in line with company philosophy.
-Oversee budgets, monitor capital expenditures and expenses, and ensure cost-effective operations.
-Ensure all operations comply with relevant laws, regulations, standards, and company policies; manage associated operational risks.
-Optimize the use of resources such as personnel, space, equipment, and technology.
-Drive operational transformation by adopting modern technologies (e.g., AI) to enhance workflows.
-Establish KPIs, analyze operational data, and prepare reports to support informed decision-making.
-Manage relationships with suppliers, partners, and other stakeholders to support efficient operations.
-Identify operational issues and develop effective, actionable solutions.
-Work closely with departments such as finance, marketing, and sales to ensure seamless business operations.
-As a member of the Japan executive team, provide dedicated support and strategic input to overall entity management.

Qualifications

-10+ years experience in a management or senior leadership role in operations (or equivalent experience)
-Bachelor’s degree
-MBA is a strong additional qualification.
-Proven track record in managing quantitative and qualitative objectives and achieving targets.
-Experience working in multi-cultural environments or international roles – preferred.
-Background in the heavy industry or automotive sector is a plus.
-Lead diverse teams, delegate effectively, and motivate toward goals.
-Strong verbal and written communication across all levels of stakeholders.
-Analytical thinking with the ability to resolve complex issues quickly.
-Guide teams and organizations through transformation and change initiatives.
-In-depth knowledge of operations management, supply chain, logistics, and quality control.
-Develop long-term strategies that align with business objectives.
-Proficient in budgeting, cost control, and financial performance analysis.
-Familiar with ERP systems, automation, data analytics, and relevant operational technologies.
-Plan, execute, and oversee complex projects effectively.
