Responsibilities

Department Oversight
– Manage teams across Assembly, Materials, Quality, Purchasing, Supply Chain & Logistics, Continuous Improvement, IT, and After-Sales Service.
– Lead department heads to achieve objectives and performance goals.
– Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.

Strategic Leadership
– Develop and execute short- and long-term strategies aligned with corporate objective
– Collaborate with executives and global stakeholders to ensure alignment.
– Improve efficiency, lead times, quality, and cost management.

Talent & Team Development
– Oversee onboarding and training.
– Identify skill gaps and create development plans with HR.
– Encourage professional growth and leadership across teams.

Operational Excellence
– Refine processes, costs, and performance metrics.
– Maintain 5S standards and monitor metrics for corrective actions.
– Lead budgeting and resource use.

Quality & Compliance
– Maintain high quality standards.
– Ensure compliance with regulations and policies.
– Strengthen systems for customer feedback and issue resolution.

Supply Chain & Logistics
– Optimize sourcing, inventory, and supplier performance.
– Streamline logistics for cost efficiency and reliable delivery.
– Use data-driven tools for supply chain visibility and control.

Continuous Improvement & Digital Transformation
– Lead initiatives to drive innovation and improve processes.
– Promote Kaizen programs to boost productivity and quality.
– Support digital tools and ERP implementation.

Project & Change Management
– Manage cross-functional projects.
– Lead automation and workflow improvements.
– Coordinate with global teams to standardize processes.

Qualifications

-5+ years of experience as Head of Operations
-Business-level Japanese
-Business-level English
-Solid understanding of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and/or other continuous improvement methodologies.
-Experience working within a matrix organization is preferred.
-Strong operational mindset paired with a strategic, big-picture approach.
-Highly process-driven with structured, analytical thinking.
-Entrepreneurial mindset with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
-Confident communicator with strong leadership, empathy, and influencing skills, including experience working with international stakeholders
