Responsibilities

– Set the strategic direction for Operations across Japan and own the annual operating budget
– Lead and develop a team of 100+ direct and indirect employees across a nationwide network of service centers
– Build and lead an Engineering Support function to drive network automation, facility expansion, and capital investment projects
– Lead workforce optimization initiatives tied to automation rollout
– Implement and govern a network-wide Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to improve maintenance compliance and equipment reliability
– Partner with the Quality team to drive continuous improvement, ensure compliance, and reduce customer complaints
– Collaborate cross-functionally with Transportation, Reverse Logistics, Supply Chain, Commercial, and Customer Service to optimize the network
– Coach and develop team members to strengthen the leadership pipeline

Qualifications

– 10-15+ years of operations experience
– 8+ years of experience in a warehouse/distribution environment
– 7–10 years of experience in supply chain
– 7–10 years of management experience (direct and matrix/cross-functional teams)
– Bachelor’s degree in Operations, Logistics, or a related field
– Lean/Six Sigma certification a plus
– Experience managing 3rd-party vendors
– Business-level Japanese and English
