Responsibilities

– Lead cross-functional operational improvement initiatives across Japan, keeping local execution aligned with the broader global operations strategy
– Act as the bridge between global strategy and regional execution, driving initiatives that improve performance, asset efficiency, and customer service outcomes
– Work across Operations, Commercial, Supply Chain, Finance, Engineering, Procurement, and Digital teams, influencing senior stakeholders without formal authority
– Deliver sustainable improvements through structured, data-driven problem-solving and disciplined project execution
– Contribute to progress against a regional performance improvement program, tracking financial and operational targets
– Drive improvements in asset utilization, equipment turnaround, transport cost efficiency, and site-level productivity
– Report on benefits delivered versus approved business cases and maintain strong stakeholder engagement across the region

Qualifications

– 5–10 years of experience in strategy consulting, operations, supply chain, or logistics
– Track record of leading operational transformation initiatives with measurable business results through structured, data-driven problem-solving
– Strong project/program leadership experience in complex organizations
– Experience influencing senior stakeholders across multiple functions
– Multinational organization experience preferred
– Business-fluent Japanese and English
