Responsibilities

Demand & Supply Planning
– Develop mid/long-term and short-term procurement plans based on sales forecasts, inventory levels, and lead times
– Work with Sales and Marketing to improve forecast accuracy
– Manage stockout/excess inventory risk and optimize order timing and quantities

Overseas HQ Procurement Negotiation
– Negotiate supply volumes and delivery timing with the overseas parent company (HQ plant, global supply chain team)
– Manage supply chain risk and evaluate alternative sourcing options
– Manage select domestic supplier relationships, including pricing negotiation and quality assurance

Import Operations
– Manage customs clearance procedures in coordination with brokers and forwarders
– Coordinate with internal Quality Assurance/Regulatory Affairs on import-related regulatory compliance for medical devices
– Manage and optimize import/logistics costs

Domestic Inventory Management
– Set and maintain appropriate inventory levels
– Oversee inventory visibility and physical counts, maintaining inventory accuracy
– Manage inventory risks specific to medical devices requiring expiration/lot tracking

3PL Management
– Manage 3PL providers and monitor KPIs (shipping accuracy, lead time, cost, etc.)
– Review service levels through regular meetings and drive improvement
– Continuously optimize logistics cost and operational quality

Order & Shipment Management
– Oversee order processing and shipment instruction operations
– Train and manage staff (regular and temp) responsible for these functions
– Standardize processes and build workflows/checks to prevent errors

Business Process Reform & SCM Modernization
– Map current SCM processes and identify improvement areas
– Plan and drive process redesign, system implementation, and automation
– Design KPIs and drive continuous, data-driven improvement (performance management, inventory turnover, stockout rate, logistics cost reduction)
– Lead cross-functional projects (Quality Assurance, Sales, Finance, IT)

Qualifications

– 5+ years of SCM experience at a foreign-affiliated company
– Experience negotiating/communicating in English with overseas HQ/offices (comfortable with web conferencing)
– Experience managing 3PLs or outsourced vendors
– Experience with data analysis and demand/supply planning (Excel, etc.)
– Team management experience (including regular and temp staff)
– Experience leading business process reform (BPR) projects
