Responsibilities

-Lead end-to-end supply planning and Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) for assigned business units.
-Manage purchase, production, and transfer orders while optimizing inventory for cost, service, and efficiency.
-Analyze Supply Chain Management (SCM) KPIs with transparency and drive improvement initiatives, including in local logistics.
-Initiate actions aligned with regional, country, and business unit strategies to support sales, profit, and growth targets.
-Manage SCM-related and integration projects in close collaboration with global, regional, and local stakeholders (e.g., new product launches, change management).
-Responsible for team engagement, capability building, and driving efficiency improvements.

Qualifications

-10+ years of experience in supply chain management
-Experience in supply planning or logistics is a strong plus.
-5+ years in a management role.
-Experience working in a business organization within a multi-group chemical industry company is a plus.
-Bachelor’s degree (Master’s degree in Supply Chain Management is a plus.)
-Business-level proficiency in Japanese.
-Business-level proficiency in English.
-Import, local production, and distribution planning.
-Coordination with suppliers, in-house manufacturing sites, contract manufacturers, and local service providers.
-Experience in demand planning and Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP).
-Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, including:
-Communication, collaboration, agility, negotiation, conflict management, ownership, openness, and presentation.
-Proven track record in process optimization, focusing on robustness, cost savings, and efficiency improvements.
