Responsibilities
- Oversee the Japan Accounting & Finance practice to ensure accurate financial reporting
- Manage the execution of monthly and annual close process
- Develop and deliver monthly and annual management / statutory financial reporting for the Japan entity
- Manage daily cash flow of Japan entity and consolidation basis, including development of the plan, forecast and variance analysis, and review and approval of payments
- Closely engage with the supply chain team to actively manage working capital
- Assist in monthly and quarterly financial reporting to banks
- Actively manage and take ownership of the company’s ERP system
- Maintain strong and effective internal controls
- Coordinate and lead the annual external audit process and manage the external tax team in the preparation of relevant tax filings in Japan
- Manage a team of 4 members within Japan Accounting & Finance team
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Economics, or Finance or equivalent experience
- Proven knowledge of JGAAP accounting regulations, practices and standards
- Business level English (both verbal and writing), and strong communication skills in general
- 10+ years of relevant work experience, and 5+ years of people management preferred
