Responsibilities
- Prepare month and year end closing either by him or herself or work with external accounting service
- Prepare customer reporting system for local management team and HQ
- Manage planning process with local Managing Director to achieve financial goals
- Align local organization on defined goals of corrective actions throughout the year
- Continuously develop company process for maximum efficiency and cost aspect; keeping cost awareness in mind
- Act as local contact point for all commercial central processes
- Act as priority contact for financial auditors and external consultants to ensure company compliance is within local laws and rules
- Prepare and deliver local declarations (tax and customs)
- Handle financial claims including: securing payment terms with customers, monitoring payment receipt, and implement effective dunning process at payment
- Guide and monitor commercial agreements with partners and customers
- Manage five direct reports (or more), including one IT manager
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in a similar Accounting and/or Finance position
- 3+ years of leadership and/or management experience
- Native level Japanese
- Strong English
- Experience managing at least 3 subordinates
- Knowledge and understanding of credit management
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office, Excel, SAP, Concur
- Result oriented and organized mindset with an emphasis on productivity and efficiency
- Efficient communicator and effective presentation skills
- Comfortable working in an international environment
- Experience in auditing is a plus
- Accounting credentials is a plus
- General Affairs operation management experience is a plus
