Responsibilities

– Manage daily AP/AR operations
– Reconcile AP/AR balances, analyze issues, and resolve discrepancies.
– Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual IFRS/JGAAP reports.
– Perform and improve monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
– Support corporate and consumption tax filings with external advisors.
– Assist internal and external audits with required documentation.
– Partner with other departments to deliver accurate, timely financial reports.
– Communicate proactively to identify and resolve operational issues.
– Lead process improvements across AP, AR, and cash flow areas.

Qualifications

– BA/BS in Accounting, Finance, or related field
– 5+ years of accounting experience
– Retail industry experience
– Strong AP/AR experience; able to work independently
– Advanced SAP skills
– High Excel proficiency
– Small-team leadership or mentoring experience in a Japanese company is a plus
– Self‑starter with a positive attitude; able to meet tight deadlines
– Strong multitasking ability; comfortable in a fast-paced environment
– Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
– Proven process improvement experience
– Proficient in Word and PowerPoint
