Responsibilities

– Own end-to-end payroll and benefits operations, partnering with external vendors to ensure accuracy and a seamless employee experience
– Serve as the Workday expert on the team — maintaining data integrity and driving smarter use of the system over time
– Lead the annual salary review and incentive cycles, keeping the process on track and delivering a smooth experience for managers and employees alike
– Manage the full employee lifecycle — from onboarding through offboarding — with care, consistency, and attention to detail
– Be the go-to trusted advisor for HR policies, employee relations, and day-to-day people matters
– Collaborate with hiring managers and recruiting agencies to keep the recruitment process efficient, professional, and candidate-friendly
– Take an active role in HR projects and continuous improvement — your ideas and initiative will be welcomed here
– Pitch in across HR functions as the business evolves — this is a role for someone who enjoys variety and adapts quickly

Qualifications

– Bachelor’s degree or above
– Business-level English proficiency (written and spoken)
– 5+ years of HR experience, with a generalist background preferred
– Strong working knowledge of HR operations and best practices
– Excellent interpersonal and communication skills — you build trust quickly
– Comfortable with HR systems and standard business tools; Workday experience is a plus
– A natural multi-tasker who stays organized under competing priorities
– Solid understanding of Japanese labor law and compliance requirements
