Responsibilities

-Negotiate purchases, contracts, and pricing with parts suppliers.
-Evaluate, select, and manage supplier performance.
-Support strategic sourcing from new product development.
-Plan and implement parts cost reduction measures.
-Develop and adjust assembly production plans based on demand forecasts.
-Manage outsourced assembly plants, including delivery coordination, progress monitoring, and performance evaluation on quality, delivery, and cost.
-Monitor production status, inventory levels, and lead times to support timely decision-making.
-Coordinate logistics, optimize inventory, execute daily operations in SAP, and report to overseas locations as needed.

Qualifications

-5+ years of experience in purchasing, procurement, operations, or relevant experience.
-Business-level Japanese.
-Business-level English.
-Strong PC skills, including Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
-Experienced in data analysis and aggregation using Excel (PivotTables, VLOOKUP, etc.).
-Practical experience with ERP systems, including SAP.
-Detail-oriented with the ability to execute tasks accurately, especially in numerical and delivery management.
-Skilled at negotiation and coordination to find optimal solutions with suppliers and production plants.
