Responsibilities

-Manage supplier negotiations and support important contracts, pricing, and business agreements.
-Resolve supplier issues and act as the main contact for escalations related to suppliers and purchasing.
-Monitor supplier performance and hold regular reviews to improve quality, service, cost, and delivery.
-Find cost-saving opportunities and support projects that reduce overall purchasing costs.
-Select and manage suppliers by supporting supplier evaluation, approval, and ongoing relationship management.
-Reduce supply risks by avoiding single-source suppliers where possible and preparing backup plans when needed.
-Support the procurement team by improving purchasing tools, processes, training, compliance, and team development.
-Improve overall purchasing value by reviewing total costs before and after major purchases and identifying opportunities for improvement.

Qualifications

-5+ years of experience in Supply Chain, Procurement, or a similar role.
-Bachelor’s degree (in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, Finance, or a related field is a plus!)
-Business-level Japanese
-Business-level English
-Strong leadership, negotiation, communication, and problem-solving skills.
-Able to communicate clearly with people from different teams, cultures, and levels of the organization.
-Good relationship-building skills and the ability to work effectively with different teams.
-Able to understand business needs, analyze problems, and make practical decisions.
-Experience with suppliers, sourcing, contracts, cost analysis, and purchasing is preferred.
-Organized, responsible, ethical, flexible, and committed to teamwork and continuous improvement.
