Responsibilities

-Act as indirect procurement role for Japan and assigned region, conduct stakeholder management with internal compliance and support business in a timely manner
-Engage with external stakeholders and business partners to influence the network
-Implement team’s decisions
-Develop category strategy for responsible categories and manage relationship with suppliers properly
-Act as the single window and contact point for Japan (and regional offices if allocated) to optimize the supply base
-Have a daily operation in compliance with Japan and regional offices
-Negotiate long-term and spot-time contracts with suppliers, manage the contract lifecycle, and update before the contract expires
-Scout new suppliers to support overall business growth and manage overall supplier performance
-Drive year-over-year improvement in the field through supplier negotiation, and supplier DPO management

Qualifications

-Bachelor’s degree (Supply Chain Management or related Business Degree is a plus!)
-5+ years of procurement or sourcing experience in indirect areas (foreign-affiliated companies is a plus!)
-Strong negotiation skills and market investigation: to have the best understanding when purchasing strategy and implementation
-Strong knowledge of cost-reduction methods/tools and interpersonal skills to enable and manage strategic relationships
-Adaptable to a rapidly changing environment
-Experience in working in multi-cultural teams is a plus!
-Experience in an innovative but cost-driven environment
