Responsibilities

– Lead the end-to-end order-to-delivery process for the Japan market (order processing, shipping and inventory), using ERP, WMS and B2B ordering platforms
– Manage relationships with warehouse, 3PL, freight forwarding and delivery partners, and monitor their performance
– Oversee inventory accuracy, investigate stock discrepancies, manage backorders and improve delivery quality
– Handle import/export operations, including customs clearance, duties and regulatory compliance
– Support S&OP, new product launches and sales campaigns on the operations side
– Review logistics costs, invoices and delivery issues, and drive improvements
– Lead the response to system outages and urgent issues: assess the impact and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders
– Drive data analysis, reporting, process visibility, standardization and automation
– Manage and develop a small team, and build a culture of continuous improvement

Qualifications

– Hands-on experience in at least one of: order management, inventory control, shipping, warehouse management or logistics management
– Experience using business systems such as ERP, WMS, OMS, B2B or e-commerce platforms
– Experience working with multiple internal departments (Sales, Finance, IT) and external partners (warehouses, 3PLs, carriers)
– Strong Excel skills for data aggregation, analysis and reporting
– Problem-solving skills: able to assess the impact of an issue and coordinate the response with stakeholders
– Accurate business-level Japanese for internal and external communication
– Basic business English
– Team leadership or people management experience

Welcome

– Experience running or improving ERP (e.g. SAP, Oracle), WMS or B2B/e-commerce platforms
– Knowledge of international logistics: import/export, customs, duties and trade regulations
– Experience automating processes with tools such as Power Automate, Power BI, Microsoft Lists or Excel VBA
– Experience supporting product launches, sales campaigns, pre-orders, build-to-order or S&OP
– Experience improving service levels for retailers, distributors or corporate customers
– Background in retail or consumer goods
– Interest in sports or outdoor activities
